Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- Mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix and knead into soft dough.
- Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
Step 2: Make the Filling
- Heat a pan and cook the ground beef until browned.
- Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.
- Mix in tomato paste and spices.
- Let it cool slightly, then add cheese.
Step 3: Assemble
- Divide the dough into portions and roll into circles.
- Add filling in center.
- Fold and seal edges tightly.
Step 4: Bake
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Don’t overfill, or they may burst
- Seal edges tightly using a fork
- Let filling cool before stuffing
- Use parchment paper for best results
